For escape room owners
When the fire marshal asks for your emergency lighting records, hand them a PDF.
Your staff log each monthly test from a private link on their phone. Every month you get a dated record for every room — and a month nobody logged shows up as a gap, never a guess.
No app to install, no logins. Cancel any time.
What NFPA 101 §7.9.3 asks of your emergency lighting
- Every monthA 30-second functional test of each emergency light.
- Every yearA 90-minute test of battery-powered units.
- AlwaysA written record of both that you can produce when asked.
EscapeLog doesn't do the tests. It makes sure the third line is never the one you're missing.
How it works
Set up once. Each test takes a minute to log.

The record
A gap beats a guess.
A record is only worth what's true on it. Every line on yours is exactly what your staff entered, with the date they entered it for — nothing added, nothing smoothed over.
If a room wasn't logged that month, the record says so in red. An honest gap you can explain is defensible. A test that didn't happen, written down as if it did, is a fabricated record — and that's your name at the top of it.
- Every room, every month, in one table
- Pass, fail-and-fixed, or fail-still-open
- Who checked, and what was done
- A reviewed-by line for your manager's signature

Questions owners ask
Does EscapeLog do the tests for me?
No. You or your staff run the tests — press the test button, time it, watch the lights. EscapeLog keeps the record of what you did and hands it back as a clean PDF every month.
Do my staff need an account or an app?
No. After checkout we email you a private link. Anyone with the link can log a test from any phone or computer, so keep it to your staff and bookmark it on the shop phone.
What happens if we miss a month?
That month shows up on your record as a dated gap for the rooms nobody logged. We never fill it in or estimate. You can still log a test late for the current month.
Is this only for NFPA 101?
The record is laid out around the monthly and annual emergency lighting tests described in NFPA 101 §7.9.3. If your local code adds checks of its own, log them in the notes column.
Does having this record guarantee I pass an inspection?
No, and nobody honest can promise that. It means that when you're asked for your emergency lighting test records, you have them — dated, complete, and signed off.
How do I cancel?
From the link on your private logging page. Cancelling stops the next charge; there's no contract.
